Mossberg 590R 12 Ga
I have had my eye on this little beauty for some time now. It is a great design and advancement on the 500 which Is my bread and butter until now. The adjustable stock, the rotary safety is ambidextrous, the balance and weight is very comfortable. The options for chokes and barrels and ammo choices make this so versatile. The action is smooth and the release mechanism is readily accessible. The pistol grip just feels natural and bringing the sights to target is an instinct this 590R seems to bring along naturally. So small game, birds, even deer are on my menu. The only thing that could make this a 6* rating is if it was priced lower for me. Oh wait a minute, I bought a $25 raffle ticket to win it. So 6 Stars she is. Even at the current price, this Mossberg is worth every penny.
