High-Tube® Telescoping Stock Adapter For Rem 870 (12-GA)
Our High-tube adapters have a comb height equivalent to an AR-15 and require a Picatinny optics rail (sold separately). These specialized adapters are for certain law enforcement applications or competition. High tube adapters allow proper cheek weld and eye alignment with popular optics such as an ACOG or Leupold CQT and others. High-tube adapters and complete stock kits include an optional 9 1/2" inch top Picatinny optics rail.
The heart of the Mesa Tactical Telescoping Stock Conversion Kit is the stock adapter. This part is investment cast and machined A-356 T6 aluminum and replaces the factory stock. The rear and lower faces of the stock
adapter resemble the back of an AR-15 lower receiver, so it can accept most stocks and grips made for the AR-15. The High-tube Adapters mimic the geometry of an AR-15 rifle, which means they can accept any buttstock or grip made for the AR-15. This also means the stock elevation is too high to use receiver- or barrel-mounted sighting systems. This is why High-tube adapter kits usually include a Picatinny scope rail, so that an optical sighting system can be mounted on the weapon.
The concept is simple: the shotgun stock is replaced by an adapter that mimics the stock attachment point of an AR-15 lower receiver. This adapter accepts an AR-15 mil-spec receiver buffer tube. The AR-15 collapsible stock and pistol grip can then be reliably attached to the shotgun. Equipped with the Mesa Tactical stock adapter, the shotguns have an adjustable length-of-pull to perfectly fit to the shooter’s stature or equipment, such as body armor; feature handling characteristics similar to the ubiquitous AR-15; are more compact for transport and storage; and are more controllable due to the pistol grip configuration.
No gunsmithing is required to install. Minor fitting of fasteners may be necessary.
